Privacy Policy

Information We Access

Film Archiver uses Google Drive API to read files you explicitly share with the app (via a Google Drive link from your film lab) and to create organized folders and metadata files in your own Drive. We do not access any files outside of what you intentionally provide.

How We Use Your Data

All data remains on your Google Drive. Metadata such as film stock, camera, lens, and location notes are stored as a JSON file inside each roll's Drive folder. No data is sent to any server other than Google's APIs. There is no backend, no database, and no analytics tracking.

Authentication

Sign-in is handled entirely by Google Identity Services (GIS) in the browser. We never see or store your password. OAuth tokens are managed by Google's client-side library and are never transmitted to any third party.

Data Storage

The app stores no data on its own servers — because there are no servers. The application is a static website hosted by a third-party provider (Vercel / Netlify / GitHub Pages), which may collect standard server logs (IP address, browser type, pages visited) as part of normal operation.

Third-Party Services

We use the following third-party services:

• Google Drive API — for reading and writing your film scan files and metadata
• Google Identity Services — for authentication
• Static host provider — for serving the application files

Each service operates under its own privacy policy. We do not sell, share, or transmit your data to any other parties.
